They Might Be Giants, sometimes called The Pink Album, is the debut studio album from Brooklyn-based band They Might Be Giants. It was released by Bar/None in 1986. The album generated two singles, "Don't Let's Start" and "(She Was A) Hotel Detective". It is included on Then: The Earlier Years, a compilation of the band's early material, in its entirety, with the exception of "Don't Let's Start", which is replaced with the single mix for the compilation.

The album has 16 new tracks, including The Communists Have The Music. The new album is out Dec. 10, with CDs shipping in mid-December and vinyl shipping in 2019. The collection of tracks is exclusive to Idlewild Recordings and will not be sold elsewhere or listed on streaming sites.

They Might Be Giants' eponymous debut album is a wild fusion of new wave pop and arty post-punk experiments borrowed from the New York underground. It runs through a head-spinning 19 songs in just over 45 minutes, running the gamut from the performance-art schtick of "Chess Piece Face" and "Youth Culture Killed My Dog" to the pure pop of "Don't Let's Start" and "Everything Right Is Wrong Again.

Flood is They Might Be Giants' third studio album. It’s known for its three singles: Birdhouse in Your Soul, Twisting and Istanbul (Not Constantinople). Flood peaked at number 75 on the Billboard 200, and stayed on the chart for 22 weeks. Drum Programming Alan Bezozi. Recorded And Mixed By Roger Moutenot.

They Might Be Giants. We want to waste your time.

They Might Be Giants have made a career out of creating ubiquitously irreverent and wildly creative lyrics, music and themes. For those of us with wildly nonsensical imaginations, the culmination of all of our collective creativity is the continued success of TMBG. For years, and now on Twitter, I've perpetuated a similar sense of reality and humor as TMBG and I pride myself on being able to express myself in such a manner. Not to mention being able to stretch my mind and perception to be able to create and perceive such situations. I never called "Dial-a-Song" but back in 1992 I discovered They Might Be Giants through their album Apollo 18 which I listened to at a friend's house. He didn't like the band, and I ended up trading him my copy of Pearl Jam's Ten for Apollo 18.
