Williams . 1941 pressing of Keep 'Em Flying Performed by Gene Krupa, vocals by Johnny Desmond Recorded November 25, 1941 for Okeh records. This song was written by Bill Coleman of the Army Public Relations Bureau to recruit 30,000 pilots for the Army Air Corp, it peaked at number 46 on the Hot 100 in December. The song remained popular due to it being picked up by Glenn Miller and being performed by his band including Desmond overseas
