Smoking Popes Live 1991.
The Smoking Popes is an American pop punk band from the northwest suburbs of Chicago, Illinois, formed in 1991. They play punk-influenced pop music with crooning vocals. The core of the group is composed of brothers Matt Caterer (born 1968), Josh Caterer (born 1972) and Eli Caterer (born 1975). The Caterer brothers were raised on rock 'n' roll and crooners like Tony Bennett and Frank Sinatra. In 1980 Matt got a guitar, Josh a bass and Eli a drum set and they began to play together.
Tracks like these are the Smoking Popes at their best, as Josh Caterer's smooth vocals slide effortlessly over the band's distorted canvas

Tracks 22 and 23 are singles that came out after Destination Failure, but do not belong to any album. Do Something" is a fantastic love song of devotion and emotion. An updated version of the song was recorded by Josh while in Duvall for the Smoking Popes Tribute album, but this single version is far superior. Pasted" is an introspective song, with a great hook.
