Jupiter is the fifth planet from the Sun and the largest in the Solar System. It is a giant planet with a mass one-thousandth that of the Sun, but two-and-a-half times that of all the other planets in the Solar System combined. Jupiter and Saturn are gas giants; the other two giant planets, Uranus and Neptune, are ice giants. Jupiter has been known to astronomers since antiquity. It is named after the Roman god Jupiter.
Mercury Venus Earth Mars. Jupiter Saturn Uranus Neptune. Pluto Ceres Makemake. Planet X. About Planets. Jupiter is covered in swirling cloud stripes. It has big storms like the Great Red Spot, which has been going for hundreds of years. Jupiter also has rings, but they're too faint to see very well. On Jupiter you may also find nickle and palladium ore, the latter of which is required to build the tier 5 rocket. Jupiter is highly irradiated, meaning you won't be able to spend much time on the surface. Therefore, it is highly recommended to build a small pressurized base to escape from the radiation
Jupiter is the fifth planet from the Sun and by far the largest. Jupiter is more than twice as massive as all the other planets combined (the mass of Jupiter is 318 times that of Earth). Jupiter and the other gas planets have high velocity winds which are confined in wide bands of latitude. The winds blow in opposite directions in adjacent bands. Slight chemical and temperature differences between these bands are responsible for the colored bands that dominate the planet's appearance.
