I have NEVER, EVER heard this song, sung better.

Текст песни: A long, long time ag. can still remember How that music used to make me smile And I knew if I had my chance.

Since I Don't Have You" is a song written and composed by Jackie Taylor, James Beaumont, Janet Vogel, Joseph Rock, Joe Verscharen, Lennie Martin, and Wally Lester. It was a 1958 hit single for the doo-wop group the Skyliners on the Billboard Hot 100. It was recorded by Barbra Streisand in 1974. Country music singer Ronnie Milsap had a hit with the song in 1991. Guns N' Roses also had some success in 1994 with their top ten hit cover on the UK Singles Chart.

Chain Lightning is an album by American singer-songwriter Don McLean. It was recorded in Nashville between June and August 1978 and featured many of that city's noted session players as well as backing vocals from The Jordanaires. It was first released in December 1978 in the UK and other markets, but not released for another two years in the US following its delayed success in European markets.

Since I Don’t Have You. The Skyliners. Produced by Joseph Rock. Since I Don’t Have You Lyrics. I don't have plans and schemes And I don't have hopes and dreams I-I-I don't have anything Since I don't have you. I don't have fond desires And I don't have happy hours I-I-I don't have anything Since I don't have you. I don't have happiness and I guess I never will again When you walked out on me In walked old misery And he's been here since then. Since I Don't Have You by Don McLean. Since I Don't Have You by Spiral Starecase. Since I Don't Have You by Ricky Nelson.

In 1980 the singer enjoyed his first Top 30 LP in nearly 30 years with the album Chain Lightning, which spawned the Roy Orbison cover Crying and the single Since I Don’t Have You. The resurgence however was short lived and his next two studio albums Believers in 1981 and Dominion in 1983 failed to chart and left McLean once again without a label. Over the 1990s McLean released a string of Christmas and non-Christmas albums including Headroom (1990), The River of Love (1995) and Christmas Dream (1997) listened to mainly by his loyal folk following

Don McLean, seen here performing in Las Vegas in 2012, says songwriting is "dead. Nearly 47 years have passed since Don McLean released American Pie. An epic lyric with an earworm chorus about "the day the music died," it swirled God, Satan, James Dean, the Beatles, football, Chevys and, above all, music into a harmonious chaos. It’s was poetic, sublime, a kaleidoscope of literary references and youthful angst. At some level, it spoke to and for a generation as few songs ever have. I challenge anybody to name any of these songs I hear on the radio (today) in four notes. It’s usually the same note being repeated. I don’t think those old-fashioned songs will ever come back. We don’t believe in God. We don’t believe in religion.

Don McLean was not just writing about. the demise of an era," Beck told his listeners. The erosion of your culture. The erosion of our values. 11. McLean really was a paperboy, among other autobiographical references in the song. McLean had a paper route as a boy of 12, but it's not clear if he still had that job on February 3, 1959 when Holly, the Big Bopper, and Ritchie Valens went down in a plane crash. But since he just got done referencing Joplin's death, it might make more sense to imagine he's referring to the trio of beloved American figures assassinated in the '60s: John F. Kennedy, Martin Luther King J. and Bobby Kennedy. Given McLean's secrecy, maybe only he and Jesus know for sure. 15. The line "For 10 years we've been on our own" may refer to something more personal for McLean.

Since I Don't Have You (оригинал Guns N' Roses). С тех пор как я лишился тебя (перевод Katherine из Курска). I don't have plans and schemes, У меня нет ни планов, ни проектов, And I don't have hopes and dreams. Ни надежд, ни мечтаний, I don't have anything, У меня нет ничего. Since I don't have you. С тех пор, как я лишился тебя. And I don't have fond desires, У меня нет больше нежных чувств, And I don't have happy hours. И нет тех счастливых часов, I don't have anything, У меня нет ничего.
