Silvertown is a district and forms part of the Port of London in the London Borough of Newham, in east London, England. It lies on the north bank of the Thames and a major £. billion redevelopment of the area was approved in 2015. It was named after the factories established by S. W. Silver and Co. established by Stephen William Silver in 1852, and is now dominated by the Tate & Lyle sugar refinery and the John Knight ABP animal rendering plant.

In the early months of performing and writing music, the band recorded their first EP 'Impossible' (titled after their first single release). In April 2015 The Broadcasts headed to Mwnci Studios, a secluded cottage in Pembrokeshire, to record their debut 9 track album. In May 2015 the boys embarked on their first UK tour with the aim to impress, every stop offered extremely positive feedback and plenty of return shows. Towards the end of summer 2015, the four piece released their first official single and music video entitled ’This Is Life’ taken from their upcoming self titled album.
