Muslimgauze was the main musical project of Bryn Jones (17 June 1961 – 14 January 1999), a British ethnic electronica and experimental musician who was influenced by conflicts and history in the Muslim world, often with an emphasis on the Israeli–Palestinian conflict.

Suns Of Arqa were equally enamoured with fusing the haunting qualities of Middle Eastern music with other styles, in their own case dub, and so their selection to remix a whole host of Muslimgauze tracks made perfect sense. Now the engrossing and otherworldly jaunt through distant lands enjoys a plush new vinyl release on which to truly enjoy the mixture of soothing and savage sounds.
