FFF is one of the kings of mashed up Amens. You can put him right up there with Soundmurderer, in my opinion, and it's because of releases like this one. Here we are, 20 years on already, from the time when entire genres popped up around the Amen break and he's still dropping fucking bombs with it that are fresh and interesting.

He's one of the few artists I know of that really use the Amen like a instrument that they've spent years, nearly decades even, at this point, learning it inside and out. For years, I was hoping for a full, cohesive FFF album on vinyl and, with this and his "Warzone" 12", it really feels like Prspct has given us just that. On these particular EP's, you have party tracks that would really work over a crowd but there is artistry here as well, and a certain moodiness that I was not expecting. Great presentation on heavy vinyl with one plate army green and one bubblegum pink. Great stuff!

I had not listened to FFF's music for quite a while, since his Planet Mu EP, and I was at that time finding his work to be quite a bit repetitive, with sound volume a little too low. That was before I found this on PRSPCT label. wondering what such a label could bring to FFF, I had to listen to it.The first track, Bloodclat Mentality, wiped all my bad feelings out. This track is made of intense buildups, the construction itself is oldschool with perfectly placed breaks, but the sound. Heavens, the sound. The amen break has never sounded so good to me, the kicks and hihats seeming completely round and extremely powerful. I believe Tommy resampled the beat from the original release and the record was cut by martians on meth, because it is damn loud. Add to this crazy rave synths and an agressive toaster and you get my favourite 2013 raggajungle(core?) track (the EP worth buying just for this one). The other tracks are excellent too, crossing gabber and jungle and still mysterious, giving a very Lovecraft/Crowley/esoteric feeling you want to listen to when apocalypse is coming. After this killer EP i looked back at the huge discography FFF had pulled out and i bought all his Murder Channel Records, killers too, now I'm looking forward his next releases.
