Some Things Never Change is the tenth album by the English rock band Supertramp, released in March 1997. Some Things Never Change represented a deliberate return to the band's earlier sound (before Free as a Bird), using more organic recording techniques than on their previous studio album. John Helliwell recounted that "we recorded the album in a way that Supertramp never had and that was by all going into the studio together and doing it as a much more live thing.

Some Things Never Change is a music studio album recording by SUPERTRAMP (Crossover Prog/Progressive Rock) released in 1997 on cd, lp, vinyl and/or cassette. For those who enjoyed Davies contributions to the early work of Supertramp, this album is well worth seeking out. For those who pine for the return of Hodgson, there will still be some appeal, but don't expect too much.

Supertramp were one of the first groups to be signed to the UK branch of A&M Records and their first album, Supertramp, was released on 14 July 1970 in the UK and Canada (it would not be issued in the US until late 1977)  . Four new members were added as well, bringing the band up to an eight-man line-up. The result of this reunion was Some Things Never Change, a new studio album released in March 1997 that echoed the earlier Supertramp sound and reached number 74 in the UK. In the summer of 1997, Supertramp returned to the. road, resulting in the live It Was the Best of Times (1999).

Lyrics to "Some Things Never Change" song by Supertramp: I went back my home town To the school and walked around And the way it felt It seemed just like ye. .From the cradle to the grave Some say we never change No matter how we try We try to rearrange. Life father so like son It's as if wife we're both as one Just as if our fate was pre-ordained. In some countries far from here You know the one s we used to fear Are they waiting to return to Those old evil ways. You can take a correspondance course Be single married or divorced You can psychoanlyze your brain But you know some things will never change. And what will those people do When Russia starts anew They'll just stand in line All under a different name.
