A Distant Shore is the first studio album by Tracey Thorn, released via Cherry Red Records in 1982. It includes a cover version of The Velvet Underground's "Femme Fatale". Recorded for just £138, the album reached number 1 in the UK Indie Chart in 1983. In 2010, it was awarded a gold certification from the Independent Music Companies Association, which indicated sales of at least 100,000 copies throughout Europe.

This fourth album boasts one of the strongest track lists of any of our recordings, with brilliant new classics from the latest game release FINAL FANTASY XV: APOCALYPSIS NOCTIS and Somnus, new orchestral arrangements from FINAL FANTASY VII: Cosmo Canyon and JENOVA COMPLETE, FINAL FANTASY VIII: The Oath and FINAL FANTASY IX: Festival of the Hunt, and Nobuo Uematsu’s FINAL FANTASY XIV . The producers of the live orchestra performance phenomenon Distant Worlds: music from FINAL FANTASY are proud to announce an intimate FINAL FANTASY music experience. When I recorded A Distant Shore, I didn't know what I was doing. I didn't even know whether I was recording an album, let alone how to do it. I'd written seven new songs but in my band, the Marine Girls, I wasn't really the singer, I was just one of the singers. But these new songs I'd written were so personal, so heartfelt, that I knew I had to sing them myself. Lyrically, I can't quite believe how intense it all is. Looking back now from my advanced years, I marvel that I was able to take things quite so seriously at such a young age – had I no idea how lucky I was to be so young? No sense of perspective on the real seriousness of this tragedy enfolding me? No, of course not. That kind of detachment only comes with maturity.

Computerized drum & bass ends the EP with UNTIL THE LAST BREATH, with a closing declaration of resilience and hope for a new era to come. OBEISANT closes the EP with his remix of TELLUS’ MIRAGE, binding the distant energies of the original to a fleet combination of drums and a distorted low end over it’s marathon span. Talking about the EP and his latest outing with Brehm and Aiden, Feint explained: Solace is about the loneliness of space, finding a flicker in the darkness. Brehm’s vocal is unquestionably the flicker in the darkness of Feint’s production. For the Colorado native ‘Solace’ not only continues her relationship with Feint and Aiden but also the iconic Monstercat family.
