The third part of "Curly Curve" decided poprovat himself in jazz-rock and consisted of Herkenberg, Wallbaum, guitarist Sandy Pikker and Axel Klober keyboards. But torn by internal quarrels over the direction of their music, they again broke up in late 1971

Curly Curve's convoluted roots trace back to 1968 when Berlin-based singer Heiner Pudelko and bassist Kurt Herkenberg decided to jump on the thriving English blues-rock scene. Adding guitarist Alex Conti to the line up, the initial trio managed some rehearsals but collapsed before getting very far.

This first Curly Curve album is definitely not a favourite of mine when it comes to krautrock or German rock music in general. Their sound is a fusion of hard rock, blues rock and psychedelic krautrock and while there are some good parts this album has never impressed me as a whole. Some of the songs include some strong guitarwork but overall the songwriting isn't that convincing. My favourite song here is probably the nice ending track "Queen of Spades" although it's nothing completely awesome either. I don't find this S/T Curly Curve album to be anything special
